The film “Cut to the Chase” premiered in Shreveport, La., Thursday, Aug. 4, at the near-100-year-old historic Strand Theatre, with over 800 people in attendance.
Rob Senska, son of Neil and Jeri Senska of Forestburg, was the cinematographer, who deals with the camera and lighting in order to “take the director’s vision and put it on the screen.”
Senska said that, for the Shreveport locals, major draws for the film were its local actors, and that its setting is in Shreveport, showing many Shreveport landmarks that are usually “disguised” in other films shot there.
Senska’s wife, Mindy Bledsoe, and Shreveport local Chris Lyon are the producers, who use the cast’s schedules to determine what scenes to film and when to film them. The two also had to keep the movie within its modest $100,000 budget.
