Artesian First Lutheran Women meet

Bible Study and quilting was held on Sept. 4, at the Artesian First Lutheran Church.  Those in attendance included Deanna Dean, Joyce Olson, Terry Moore, Judi Larson, Judy Wormstadt, and Jerolyn Dean.

Following the business meeting, Judy Wormstadt led the Bible Study titled “Let Us Pray” based on Psalm 19.

The quilt that the ladies made for the Lutheran Outdoors Quilt Auction received a blue ribbon and Best of Show at the Sanborn County Achievement Days. It was also on display at the South Dakota State Fair and is now available to be purchased through the Lutheran Outdoors online quilt auction.  Thank you to Pastor Josh for taking the quilt to Sioux Falls for us.

The baby items purchased with Penny Power money have been delivered to Plus One in Huron. In addition to the clothing items, there were six baby blankets, 14 baby quilts and a cash donation from the women’s group. Thanks to Judy Wormstadt for delivering all of the items.

WWTS (Walking With the Savior) has resumed meeting on Wednesday evenings from 5:30-6:45 p.m. now that school has started. Twenty children are registered to attend. All children from kindergarten age to sixth grade are welcome to participate.

The Annual Medary Conference retreat will be in Badger on Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  It is always an enjoyable day. Make plans now to attend and contact Judy Wormstadt for more info and carpool information.

The ladies prayed the Lord’s Prayer and the table blessing before enjoying a delicious lunch served by Judy Wormstadt.

The gals finished the evening by working on quilts.
