The Sanborn Central Snackpack  Program resumed in September with Artesian First Lutheran Church being the first in the rotation to furnish snacks for weekend nutrition for qualifying students. Eligible students are determined from their returned free and reduced lunch applications to the school. Other participating churches are  the Artesian St. Charles Catholic Church, the Fedora Presbyterian Church, the Letcher Community Church and the Forestburg Lutheran Church. Nancy Sullivan and Tambi Wormstadt are the program directors at Artesian First Lutheran.
