The VFW Post 5548 Teener baseball team from Wessington Springs/Woonsocket are the champions of the 2018 Joe Kirley Tournament held in Pierre June 22-24. 

They started the tournament with a win over Pierre 14-0 and a win over Brandon Valley 10-2. Their third game was a tough battle, but Post 5548 edged out victorious with a final score of 10-9. They then earned a spot in the championship with a win over Aberdeen 6-3. 

Their final game was a win over Sturgis with a score of 13-1 that made the VFW Post 5548 the champions of the tournament.
