Woonsocket Legion holds annual poker tournament

The Woonsocket American Legion had a fun night at their third Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament this past weekend with 21 players.

The evening began with a pork loin sandwich supper served by the American Legion Auxiliary. Multiple rounds of play narrowed the poker group to three players who decided to split the winnings evenly between themselves versus playing out to first, second and third play.

Congratulations to the winners of the tournament pictured above, left to right: Tim Budde, Joe Vetter and Jeremy Harris, along with the winner of the High Hand of the Night – George Linke.

Proceeds of this fundraiser will help your American Legion Post 29 support various activities in the community.

The next tournament is being planned for March 2019.
