Dakota Players bring performing arts to Sanborn Central

After school on Monday, Nov. 18, all kindergarten through eighth grade students at Sanborn Central who were interested had the opportunity to try out for the play “X is for Zebra.” The program was brought to Sanborn Central by the Dakota Players, which is an outreach of the Black Hills Playhouse. After try-outs, parts were determined and designated, and then for the rest of the week, the kids who tried out practiced every night after school from 3:30 to 8 p.m. They then had two performances on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
