Cathy and Jim Hegg are both cancer survivors and Cathy is now 202 days cancer free after a two-year battle with lymphoma. They are pictured here with their friends and family who supported them through it all and continue to support the American Cancer Society.

It was Woonsocket’s turn to host the annual Jerauld-Sanborn Relay for Life. Due to the stormy weather forecast, the event was held at the Woonsocket Community Events Center.

A meal of BBQ sandwiches, chips and a drink was provided and served by the American Legion Auxiliary for a free-will donation. Dave Kogel was the facilitator for this year’s event. He stated that he couldn’t make the event happen without the help of all those who volunteer each year.
