In conjunction with Halloween and the end of the first quarter, the Sanborn Central Middle School Student Council sponsored a pumpkin decorating contest. Six middle school advisory groups participated. The high school student council chose one winner from each grade: sixth grade – Gumball Machine, seventh grade – Captain Underpants, and eighth grade – Gary the Snail. The grand prize pumpkin was Gary the Snail. Pumpkins were donated by Shane Baysinger.
