Ellie VonEye sets one up for the Lady Blackhawks to work for a point.

On Tuesday, Oct. 1, the Blackhawks hosted the Highmore-Harrold Lady Pirates in Woonsocket. The seventh grade started the night with a couple close sets that ended in a tough loss for the Blackhawks with scores of 17-25 and 23-25. The eighth grade played well and split their sets with the Lady Pirates with scores of 23-25 and 27-25. The junior varsity girls continued their winning streak with a win in two sets and scores of 25-13 and 25-20. The varsity started well with a win in the first set, but they lost the momentum and couldn’t recoup, so the night ended with a loss in four sets for the varsity team. Set scores were 25-18, 18-25, 12-25 and 17-25.
