At a recent town board meeting, the Letcher Town Board passed a resolution similar to most towns in the state, suggesting the closure or limited operation of non-essential businesses, such as bars, restaurants and other indoor and outdoor venues where people congregate. They also passed in that resolution that the Letcher Community Center shall remain closed until school resumes or the public health emergency is over.
