The Summer Bible Day Camp will again be held this summer in Woonsocket, sponsored by the Lutheran/Methodist Parish of Woonsocket and Forestburg. Camp counselors from NeSoDak Bible Camp of Lutheran Outdoors will be here to organize and conduct the Day Camp from June 1-5.
All children who have completed kindergarten through fifth grade are welcome.
The theme of the camp this year is “Living In God’s Time” and is based on “For everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven.” Ecclesiastics 3:1.
The week will begin with a family potluck picnic at Lake Prior near the Depot on Sunday, June 1 at 6 p.m. Camping activities will be held Monday through Thursday, June 2-5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Woonsocket Community Center and Lake Prior. The churches will furnish a  morning snack and noon meal each day. A closing program will be held on Thursday evening in the Community Center.
Pre-school children ages three through five are invited to attend Vacation Bible School, which will be held the same week from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Bethany Lutheran Church.
There is a $25 fee for the Day Camp and a $10 fee for the VBS. Both fees include a T-shirt commemorating the week. Registration is due by May 4 and there will be an additional charge for late registrants. For registration forms and additional information, call Julie Davis at 495-4218.
This is a fun-filled week of Bible study, songs, worship, arts and crafts, games and service projects with trained camp counselors. Children from any part of the county and any denomination are invited to attend, so register early and don’t miss this inspiring, exciting week.
