The Dave Olson Memorial Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament was held on March 31.
The players making it to the final table were: Bob Steckel, Patrick Hughes, Don Weinberger, Steve Whitney, Dave Fridley, Andy Larson, Jeff Ebersdorfer, Chuck Peer, Leo Effling and Patrick Bender.
When the dealing was done, all the chips belonged to Patrick Bender. Leo Effling earned second place and third place went to Chuck Peer.  High hand for the evening went to Steve Nelson for his queen high club flush.
Beneficiaries this year were Tanna Kingsbury and David Grassel. Both have been fighting cancer in the past year. We wish them all the best and good health for years to come.
We are very thankful for all of those who participated in any way – players, dealers, money tenders, chip counters, soup makers, set-up crew, clean-up crew and all who donated. This couldn’t happen without you.

The home of missing Woonsocket woman Rachel Cyriacks was vandalized Sunday night with spraypainting on the front and a broken window.

The Woonsocket home of 30-year-old Rachel Cyriacks, who has been missing since last November, was vandalized Sunday evening.
“@#$% you Pigs Riverside for Life” was spray-painted in black on the front of the house, which is on 11th Street on the north edge of Woonsocket. A window next to the writing was also been broken from the inside.
Police think the house had been left unlocked by family, who had been cleaning it out. It is unclear whether anything else was taken from inside. The house is currently in the county’s possession for unpaid taxes.
Cyriacks was last seen Nov. 13 at her temporary job at Performance Pet Products in Mitchell. She was reported missing on Dec. 16.
The pickup she was thought to have been driving at the time of her disappearance turned up in Huron where her husband, Bradley Cyriacks, was living. It was taken into police custody in January and found to have extensive damage to the undercarriage.
Cyriacks had filed a restraining order against her husband last fall citing abuse in their relationship, but failed to appear in court so the order was dropped.
A helicopter search was conducted between Woonsocket and Huron last month, but nothing unusual was noticed.
Cyriacks frequented a large area from Huron to Sioux Falls, leaving authorities with a huge possible search area and they’ve had very few leads to help narrow it down.
The Sanborn County Sheriff’s office is being assisted on the case by the Department of Criminal Investigation and the Huron Police Department.
If anyone has any information pertaining to the case, they are urged to call the Sanborn County Sheriff’s office at 605-796-4511 or the Huron Police Department at 605-353-8550.
