A Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in Woonsocket, South Dakota. If the polls cannot be opened because of bad weather, the election may be postponed one week.
The election polls will be open from seven o’clock a.m. to seven o’clock p.m. Daylight Saving Time on the day of the election.
At the election, the following questions will be voted upon or offices will be filled:
Ward II – Council Member – two-year term: Brandon Goergen, Mike Kogel.
Furthermore, the following are unopposed:
Mayor – two-year term: Lindy Peterson;
Ward I – Council Member – two-year term: Richard Reider;
Ward III – Council Member – two-year term: Jim Steichen.
The polling place in each precinct of this municipality is as follows:
Woonsocket Community Center.

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held before the Sanborn County Commissioners, acting as the Board of Adjustment at 10 a.m. on April 15, 2014 in the Commissioners room, second floor of the Sanborn County Courthouse in Woonsocket.
The meeting is to discuss a variance for Rod and Jane Marten’s request to erect an accessory building on the S1111’ of E1320’ and Part of Lot B of Lot R36, Less Lot H2 in SE/4 3-106-60. The variance is to build the accessory building 35’ closer to the township road, (approximately 400’ North of Highway 37/410 Ave. intersection) than the Sanborn County Zoning regulations allow.
