photo    The Pony Hills Youth Wrestling Club hosted a dual tournament in Wessington Springs on March 1. Teams participating in the tournament included  Highmore/Harrold, Redfield and Huron.
Redfield won the dual and Pony Hills wrestling was second.

IMG_1417 The Woonsocket FFA and Sanborn Central FFA Chapters had a successful trip to the 86th SD FFA State Convention, held in Brookings April 6-8.
Members represented their community well in their Career Development Events by their achieved successes. Whether it was studying, practice judging or attending IMG_1421Career Development Event schools, each member put in the time to hone their skills.

The Town ‘N Kountry Kids 4-H Club Blue Group met on April 13 at the Letcher Community Center.
The meeting was called to order by President Jenna Skinner with 22 members present. The secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were read.
Old business included the fruit sales and the club sign.
New business included a community service project on May 4 at 4 p.m., of cleaning up the Artesian ball field and on May 7 at 6:30 p.m. cleaning up the Letcher ball field.
Upcoming dates include: registration for 4-H camp is due April 24; the leaders meeting is April 22 at 7 p.m.; and on April 21 there is a judging school.
The next meeting will be May 4 with snack and drink provided at the Artesian ball field.
Talks were given by Madi Moody on finding an antidrug, Renee Farmer on golfing equipment, Jenna Skinner on floral arrangements, Chloe Degen made playdough, and Mason Moody on football techniques.
