With the extension of the 2008 Farm Bill came the extension of Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) commodity, disaster and conservation programs for 2013 which are administered by FSA. Direct and Counter Cyclical Payment program (DCP), the Average Crop Revenue program (ACRE), and the Milk Income Loss program (MILC) info is provided below.  We can’t tell you much by the way of specifics of what other programs will be available in 2013 until we get additional information.
DCP/ACRE 2013 sign-up will begin Feb 19. ACRE sign-up will end June 3.  DCP sign-up will end Aug 2. These programs will be mostly unchanged from previous years except that producers who elected to enroll their farm(s) in ACRE in previous years can now convert those farms back to DCP in 2013 or re-enroll the same as before. Either way, to participate you need to sign up by the deadlines shown.
Dairy producers MILC contracts will be automatically extended to Sept. 30 and do not need to re-enroll.  The calculations have changed to be more producer friendly.
