Dan Spreacker, IMT Senior Territory Manager, Morgan Larson and Trudy Larson.

Morgan is a recent graduate of Woonsocket High School and plans to attend South Dakota State University in the fall. She is the daughter of Jay and Trudy Larson. Trudy is an IMT Group agent with Hegg Insurance in Woonsocket.
The IMT Diamond Scholarship program, in its third year, awards 10 graduating seniors and/or undergraduate students who are active in their schools and communities.  They also demonstrate a high level of achievement and success in their studies.

The First Lutheran Church Women of Artesian helped serve the Love Feast at the First Methodist Church in Mitchell on May 23.
The ladies joined with Wells Fargo Bank volunteers to provide the meal and 310 meals were served. Those helping  with the meal were: Deanna Dean, Jerolyn Dean, Pastor LeShea Avery, Shirley Olson, Kelly Olson and daughters Kayden and Avery, Joyce Olson, Judi Larson, Sheryl Ischen and Judy and Tristen Wormstadt.
The group also provided milk certificates for each family, table decorations, a craft for the children and two large door prizes.
The First Lutheran Church Women of Artesian met for their monthly circle meeting at the home of Joyce Olson in Mitchell on May 23 with five members and Pastor LeShea Avery present.
The Bible study, “Time to Go” with a theme verse of Acts 1:6 was led by Judy Wormstadt.
The business meeting began with the reading of the treasurer’s report by Deanna Dean and the secretary’s report by Judy Wormstadt.
The group discussed the Back Pack program. Favorable response has been received from the Forestburg Lutheran Church and the Catholic church in Artesian. Information has been received from the “Feeding South Dakota” program. More information will be checked on the first week of June. An organizational meeting will be set up after that. Representatives are needed from our church for the Backpack program.
Letters will again be written to military servicemen and women in July. If anyone has addresses please bring them to church.
Registration forms were handed out to interested members for the Women of the ELCA 26th Annual Synodical Convention at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls on Friday and Saturday, June 21-22. Anyone else interested in going, please contact Judy.
The Lord’s Prayer was prayed, table blessing sung and lunch was served by hostess Joyce Olson.

Tim and Shanna Moke of Dell Rapids are the parents of a baby girl, Brielle (Bree-Ell) Faith, born May 2, 2013 in Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls.  She weighed 7 lb. 4 oz. and was 20 inches long. She joins a big brother, Camden, 5, and a sister, Olivia, 2-1/2.
Grandparents are Ron and Sandi Ruml of Letcher and Gerald and Sandy Moke of Ethan. Great-grandmothers  are Stella Klumb and Irene Moke.
