The Sanborn County Sheriff’s office is struggling with a lack of solid leads in the search for the Woonsocket woman who has been missing since Nov. 11.
Rachel (Eaton) Cyriacks, 30, was last seen six weeks ago at her temporary job at Performance Pet in Mitchell. Family members reported her missing Dec. 16.
With leads drying up, the sheriff’s office, along with friends and relatives, have taken the search online. Messages have been posted on social media by the sheriff’s office, ex-boyfriends and friends, in an effort to get news of her disappearance in front of as many people as possible.
A “Help Find Rachel Cyriacks” page also has been set up on Facebook. Cyriacks’ own last Facebook post was Nov. 12.
Rachel’s husband Bradley Cyriacks has been contacted by the DCI and was interviewed, but he had no information as to her whereabouts. The 1995 Chevy pickup the two both used and that  was originally reported Rachel may have been driving, was found at the home Brad was staying at in Huron.
Rachel and Brad reportedly had a rocky relationship and were in the middle of a divorce. Rachel had filed a protection order against Brad in August. The order was dismissed in September when she failed to show up for a court hearing.
Sheriff Tom Fridley says they have no reason to suspect foul play and are not looking at Brad as a suspect. They continue to follow up on the leads they have gotten, but with little luck.
The Sanborn County Sheriff’s office is urging anyone with any information to please call 605-796-4511.

The Sanborn County Snack Pack program was started in the fall this year, and has been quite successful so far. Committees from area churches have come together to organize this needed program and each church prepares the packs on a monthly rotation. The packs include five easy-to-prepare food items that are sent home each Friday with eligible students.
To date, the groups are preparing 16 snack packs for the Sanborn Central School and 10 for Woonsocket School per week. There are many more students who qualify to receive them and the committee wants to encourage parents to contact the school to complete the required form so that their child or children can receive this service.
