Congratulations to these fourth through sixth grade students for their academic achievement in the fourth quarter. Students receiving honor roll status are as follows:
Superior Honor Roll (All A’s) –

An awards ceremony was held at Sanborn Central Middle School on May 17.
The following students received nominations by their instructors in the various curricular areas: band – Ellie Kisor; social studies – Dayton Easton and Karly Krueger; keyboarding – Teya Moody; language – Tryce Slykhuis, Lucy Nicholson; vocal – Shania Cornelius, Macy Kempf, Karly Krueger; science – Mason Moody, Lucy Nicholson; math – Brighten Hitchcock and Karly Krueger.
Star Student of the Fourth Quarter honors were given to Mason Moody and Lucy Nicholson.

Annabella Fry, daughter of Levi and Carie Fry of Woonsocket, was chosen as one of three winners of the fifth grade essay contest on “Why My Grandparent Should Be the Grandparent of the Year,” sponsored by AARP and South Dakota Retired Teachers.
On Wednesday, May 11, she attended a luncheon at the Huron Senior Citizens Center with her mom and grandmother, Margaret Christensen, also of Woonsocket, whom her essay was written about. AnnaBella was recognized as a winner by receiving a medal and certificate for her accomplishments.
