Tegan Moody gives a talk on “How to Make a Pig Waterer”

The Town ‘N Kountry 4-H Club Blue Group met on March 13 at the Letcher Community Center.
The meeting was called to order by President Cole Moody. Pledges were led by Keeten Fridley and Bryce Larson. Twenty-four members answered the roll call topic, “Favorite Easter Candy”. The secretary’s report was read by Ashlee Hanson and was approved as read.
Noah Wormstadt made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report, seconded by Bryce Larson. Motion carried.
Ellie Evans and Brady Larson gave an update on what they were doing for the graduating members.
Old Business: Delaney Zoss, Bryce and Brady Larson, and Kenlie and Keaten Fridley discussed what they did at the cookie science workshop. Discussion was held on fruit sales, auction date and lunch.  The committee for the auction lunch on April 30 and May 7 at the Davison County Fairgrounds  are the Larson, Adam and Wormstadt families. Motion by Ashlee Hanson, seconded by Ellie Evens, to match the $500 given to the South Dakota 4-H Foundation to make it a $1,000 for a brick at the State Fair. Motion carried.
New Business: It was discussed that 4-H Camp dates are June 8-10. Motion by Tegan Moody, seconded by Kara Wormstadt, to give $30 to each camper going. Motion carried. Motion by Chloe Deagan, seconded by Brady Larson, to give $50 TLC for those attending and $100 to those attending performance arts. Motion carried.
Talks and Demonstrations were given by Tegan Moody on “How to Make a Pig Waterer”; Delaney Zoss on “How to care for a Club Lamb”; and Allison Britton and Brooklyn Larson on “How to Make a Paper Easter Egg Wreath”.
A kitchen utensil skill-a-thon was held after the demonstrations. Noah Wormstadt received top honors.
The next meeting will be April 10 at 6 p.m. in the Letcher Community Center.
Lunch was served by Ashlee and Dean Hanson and Delaney and Cain Zoss.
