Krista Lynn O’Riley, 34, of Arlington, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, near Volga as the result of a car accident.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 9 at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Wilno, Minn., with graveside services at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Canby, Minn. Visitation was Tuesday, Dec. 8 from 5-7 p.m. at Rude’s Funeral Home in Brookings.
Krista Lynn Sik was born Sept. 9, 1981, in Canby, Minn., to David and Judy (Rodningen) Sik. She graduated from Canby High School in 2000 and began working at Schotts in Canby before attending school at Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls. Krista moved to Clear Lake where she started working at Tech-Ord.
She married Ryan O’Riley on Sept. 25, 2004, at First United Methodist Church in Brookings. In 2005, the couple made their home in Arlington.
Krista is survived by her husband, Ryan O’Riley; father, David Sik of Canby, Minn.; brother, Michael (Kim) Sik of Walnut Grove, Minn.; two grandmothers, Edna Christianson of Valley City, N.D., and Lydia Sik of Hendricks, Minn; parents-in-law, Gary and Barb O’Riley, of Huron and formerly of Woonsocket; brother-in-law, Derek (Kristin) O’Riley of Harrisburg; two nieces; two nephews; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother; grandfather, Martin Sik; grandparents, Herman and Francis Rodningen; and one niece.
