The Blackhawk boys team easily beat a bottom-seeded Iroquois team, 75-30, in the opening night of the 281 Tournament in Wolsey.
Brady Tiede led on the scoreboard with 15 points. Josh Feiner followed up with 13 points, including three three-pointers. Wyatt Feistner put down double figures as well with 10 points.
SCW grabbed 25 boards, including seven by Tucker Kingsbury. Iroquois had just 14 rebounds.
SCW turned the ball over just five times, but forced 15 from the other team. The Hawks also had 13 steals, four by Kingsbury.
Iroquois was led in scoring by Kenneth Nelson with 11 points.
The Chiefs are 1-7 and were scheduled to move into the second round of play versus Hitchcock-Tulare Tuesday afternoon.
The Blackhawks improved to 7-1 with the win and were to next play Highmore-Harrold Tuesday night in the Huron Arena.
