FIREMEN learn how to rescue someone that is against the wall of the grain bin.

The Artesian Fire Department was recently the recipient of some grain bin rescue equipment provided by Farm Credit Services of America.
Farm Credit also provided the instructor for the training and Farmer’s Elevator provided the firemen with a facility and grain needed to train with.
The Artesian Fire Department opened the training up to multiple other departments and local farmers, who all had the opportunity to get a hands-on experience. Many different scenarios were presented and each one required certain steps to ensure a safe rescue for all.
The department plans to do some more local training throughout the summer.
