Myah Selland, junior standout in the sport of basketball, was unsurprisingly chosen for the second year in a row to the first team of the Class B All-State Girls Basketball team.
Selland was the driving force behind the Blackhawks third place finish in the State B Tournament in March. She scored 507 of her 1,700 career points during the 2015-16 season to lead her team in a 21-5 season.
Since her seventh grade year, Selland has been a pivotal piece of the Blackhawks team, helping to take them to four state tournaments and leading the team in five winning seasons.

Four Sanborn Central/Woonsocket girls and five boys basketball players were named to the 281 and CBH All-Conference teams.
Myah Selland was named to the first team All-Conference in both the 281 and CBH conferences. She also was named the CBH Conference MVP.

The St. Wilfrid Quilting for Others quilting group has been busy finishing projects during the winter.
They have made 74 baby blankets, 50 dresses, 30 shorts, 50 tank tops and 150 diapers out of the leftover material from the cancer fundraiser T-shirts that they have collected.
To date, the group has also made 34 cancer quilts that are given to chemotherapy patients at the Avera Cancer Center in Mitchell. This is an ongoing project, so they are always in need of cancer related T-shirts.
