Woonsocket High School will hold its commencement exercises this Friday, May 11, at 7 p.m., in the Woonsocket Auditorium, where 17 seniors will be honored.
The salutatorian, Nathan Linke, and valedictorian, Tristan Ziebart, of the class will both address the audience, and special music will be performed by members of the senior class and the choir director, Mrs. Jennifer Easton.
Diplomas will be presented by School Board President Jason White. The eighth grade class will also receive diplomas as they prepare to enter high school.
The Woonsocket Class of 2018 has chosen the class motto, “Together, we have experienced life. Separately, we will pursue our dreams. Forever our memories.”
Saturday afternoon, May 12, at 4 p.m., graduation ceremonies will take place for seven seniors at Sanborn Central High School.
Valedictorian Trent Kingsbury and Salutatorian Sarah Morgan will each address the audience. The senior class has chosen Mr. Corey Flatten as their keynote speaker.
The eighth grade class will also be recognized as they receive their official certificate for entry into high school.
The Sanborn Central High School Class of 2018 has chosen a class motto written originally by Winston Churchill, “History will be kind to me for I intend to write it.”
