Each quarter, Mrs. Lieber gives the upper elementary students an AR (Accelerated Reading) Challenge, and if they meet it, they are rewarded with a popcorn and movie party in the library at the end of the quarter. This quarter, the fourth graders needed to get ten points, fifth graders needed thirteen, and the sixth graders needed to obtain fifteen AR points.
Nineteen students made it to the party on Friday, Oct. 12, from 1-3 p.m. Students enjoyed the movie Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie (and also one of the favorites to check out from the library) with some popcorn and a drink, provided by the library. Students were also able to enjoy lounging in the different, comfy seats that the library has to offer.
The students who “met the challenge” for the first quarter were:
Fourth Grade: Alex Anderson, Braxton Gooding, Zion Sentell, Waverley Hagman, Megan Kogel;
Fifth Grade: Kenzie Baruth, Addison Baruth, Dawson Larson, Jalyn Grassel, Kali Hofer, Oscar Anderson, Liz Boschee, Brendan Evans, Samantha Grosz;
Sixth Grade: Emilie Lindgren, Reese Stephens, Whitney Hagman, Colten Trabing, Logan Potrament;
The second quarter challenge will begin on Monday, Oct. 15, and this time, third graders will also be invited to join in on the fun!
