For the past month, the Spirit of Faith Lutheran-Methodist Church in Woonsocket has been collecting personal products and snacks for the Church on the Street in Sioux Falls, which is a ministry with the homeless led by mission developer, Rebel Hurd.

Church on the Street is a Faith Community under the South Dakota Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, where God’s people gather around Word and Sacrament to seek healing, spiritual fulfillment and Christian Community on the street. They build relationships through listening, asking questions, being present and consistent, and showing compassion. This community believes that every human being, regardless of whether they are housed or not housed, deserves a worshiping community where they feel at home.
