Sanborn Central’s Economics class participated in the South Dakota Bankers Foundation Business Plan Competition. Students were required to create a realistic business plan that could be immediately successful if implemented. The plans included marketing strategies and detailed financial statements to predict future costs and sales. Some students created sole proprietorships, while others chose to create partnerships. As a class, there were seven entries into the competition.
Congratulations to Alex Wormstadt and Austin Schmit on being selected as one of the six finalists for the South Dakota Bankers Foundation Business Plan Competition out of 92 entries! They will travel to Pierre on Feb. 7 to present their product, “Double A Calf Boxes,” to the competition judges. “Double A Calf Boxes” is a partnership created that sells portable calf boxes to help protect calves from harsh elements during calving season.
