
Erica Howard receives a scholarship check in the amount of $250 from Father Kevin Doyle at the CDA Fall Festival. The scholarship was awarded for 10 years of service to the church as an altar server.
The Catholic Daughters of St. Wilfrid’s in Woonsocket held a Fall Festival on Saturday, Sept. 29.
As an additional highlight of the event, Erica Howard received the first-ever Altar Server Scholarship. Erica has been a Mass server since second grade and has continued through her senior year of high school. She now attends SDSU in Brookings. The scholarship was implemented by Father Jim Friedrich and the Catholic Daughters have held a fundraising event with donations from the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree and Catholic United Financial to fund it.
