
The bouncy houses and train rides were a popular place for families with young kids during the annual Forestburg Melon Festival on Saturday evening.
On Saturday, Aug. 17, the town of Forestburg was buzzing with the enjoyment of its seventh annual Forestburg Melon Festival. Hundreds of people joined in the fun that included a car show, bean bag tournament, live music, bouncy houses and train rides for kids, a delicious meal and, of course, the selling and eating of melons. A couple of new things added this year were a food vendor from McWhorter Entertainment who sold some of the finest fair food and several vendor booths with people selling a variety of homemade and company-owned goods.
