The Woonsocket fourth grade class is working hard to make some Christmas wishes come true for the kids who go to Horizon Health Care by collecting 200 small toys to place under the Christmas tree at the clinic.
When choosing their service project this year, the class wanted to give the toys to those kids who were sick, injured, not feeling well, or maybe did not have many toys under their own tree.
When asked why they did an amazing project like this, the kids responded with a variety of answers like “it’s a nice thing to do for someone else” and “it makes you feel good.”
“These gifts will serve a huge need to many of the children that we see in our clinic. So many kids that come through our doors may not be getting a lot for Christmas; this will help fill that need. In addition, if they are sick or hurt, it gives the kids a smile on their face as they leave. Thank you so much to the fourth grade class,” said Jodi Doering, Regional Office Manager Horizon Health Care.
