Brenda Jones, 52, of Lane, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, at her residence.

Funeral services were Thursday, Jan. 25, at Foothills Bible Fellowship Church in Wessington Springs, with burial in Hope Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the church, with a 7 p.m. prayer service.

Brenda Sue Jones was born Sept. 9, 1965, in Wessington Springs to Walter and Esther Irene Hines.

Brenda was united in marriage to Larry Douglas Jones on Sept. 4, 1985. She spent her life in Lane.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she enjoyed spending time with those close to her. She delighted in doing several craft projects, collecting stamps and playing games on her computer.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Larry Jones; daughters, Katie Sue Jones, and Lisa Marie (Daniel) Summers; siblings, Duane (LaVonne) Hines, Howard Hines, Don (Mary) Hines, Beverly Engelkes, Elaine Schlenker, Shirley Hines, and Donna (Ed) Gray; sister-in-law, Vickie Hines; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Charles, Leonard, Larry Hines and Darlene Hines; brothers-in-law, Orvil Schlenker and Joe Engelkes; and sister-in-law, Doris Hines.
