Cindy Waldner, 61, of Huron, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at the Huron Regional Medical Center after a short and hard battle with cancer.
Funeral services were Friday, Feb. 2, at 1 p.m., at the Kuhler Funeral Home, with burial in the Rest Haven Cemetery at Alpena. Visitation was from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Cindy Peskey was born Sept. 2, 1956, to Edward and Evelyn (Moeding) Peskey. She grew up in Huron and graduated from Huron High School.
She was united in marriage to Isaac Waldner on July 19, 1975, at Long Beach, Calif., while Ike was serving in the United States Navy. To this union one daughter, Jami, was born. The family later moved to the Huron area to be closer to family.
Cindy enjoyed everything about living in the country. She liked to garden, enjoyed watching the wildlife, and was a lover of cats.
She is survived by her husband, Ike Waldner; son-in-law, Chris Waldner; two grandchildren; siblings, Nila Ondricek, Ed Peskey, Jr., and Richard Peskey, all of Huron; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald Peskey; and daughter, Jami on Dec. 21, 2017.
