Philip Hines goes up for two during the junior varsity game of the doubleheader against Hanson in Woonsocket on Tuesday, Jan. 22.

On Tuesday, Jan. 22, the Blackhawks hosted Hanson for a doubleheader in Woonsocket. Hanson has been rated as a top 10 team in the state for a few weeks. It was a tough battle, but the Blackhawks outscored the Beavers 58-40 to claim the victory.

The Blackhawks improve to 8-4 on the year. They saw their next action in a doubleheader in Forestburg on Monday night. The results of that game will be in next week’s issue. They will also be playing in doubleheaders against Corsica-Stickney on Thursday and Wolsey-Wessington on Saturday.
