On Tuesday, Jan. 22, the Hanson Beaverettes traveled to Woonsocket to take on the Lady Blackhawks. Due to a cold first quarter for Sanborn Central/Woonsocket, Hanson took the lead early and never let SCW have it. Hanson handed SCW only their fourth loss on the season with a final score of 53-40. 

On Thursday, Jan. 24, the girls went over to Wessington Springs to meet up with the Lady Spartans. They came home with JV and varsity victories. The junior varsity girls won with a final score of 43-24. The varsity won their game with a final score of 53-32.

The Lady Blackhawks now have a record of 9-4. Their next action was on Monday, Jan. 28 against Ethan in a doubleheader in Forestburg. Results of that game will be in next week’s issue, along with results of the games they will be playing in Corsica on Thursday night and Sanborn Central on Saturday.
