Shelby Selland, a senior at Augustana University and a Sanborn Central High School alumnus, was named to the all-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference first-team last Thursday. 

Selland’s play had been halted due to a knee injury in early January, but she worked hard and came back to play mid-February. She is averaging 14 points per game for the Vikings, and she leads the team in rebounding, averaging just under six per game.

Selland has been honored with being named NSIC Player of the Week three times this season and four times in her career. Last season, Selland was named to the all-NSIC second-team.
