The rosters for the South Dakota High School Football All-Star game were announced recently. This year’s game will be played at 1 p.m. on July 9 at the DakotaDome in Vermillion, the first time in the game’s 30-year history that it has been played away from Aberdeen.
The 84 participating players – incliding 20 Argus Leader Elite 45 honorees and 27 honorable mentions – will gather in Vermillion on July 6 for practices and other events leading up to the game. Athletes had to pay $300 to participate in past years, but that cost has been eliminated for this year’s event.
Participating Blackhawk players include Chase Von Eye, Brady Tiede and Garrett Larson, who will all play on the Blue Team. Coach Jason Kolousek is also one of the Blue Team’s coaches.
