    Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central suffered a hard loss to Kimball/White Lake with a score of 16-44 on Friday night at Sanborn Central.
K/WL received 143 yards on six carries from Trevor Reinesch as well as 34 yards on three catches. Jacob Kirsch had 49 yards in seven carries, while Jesse Taylor made 6-of-9 in the air for 76 yards with one interception. Turner Blasius garnered seven tackles.
Joe Davis counted out 38 yards in three carries for WWSSC. Trevor Easton grabbed seven tackles.
WWSSC was scoreless until after the half. In the third quarter Todd Stekl scored on a 10-yard run, set up by a Stekl pass to Jevon Hohn.
In the last quarter, Tucker Kingsbury completed a pass to Ty Swenson, followed by a 22-yard TD run by Kingsbury.
K/WL, now 2-0, hosts Miller on Friday.
WWSSC is 0-2 and travels to Mount Vernon this Friday night.

Led by Rachelle Moore’s 31 digs, the SC/W Lady Blackhawks took a 3-1 win in volleyball over White Lake Tuesday night. Set scores were 20-25, 25-10, 25-22 and 25-21.
Marissa Weber added 10 kills, while Morgan Larson had nine.
White Lake was led by Jazmyn Hinker with nine kills. Hailey Mohnen added nine digs and Kim Munsen had 19 assists.
White Lake moved to 2-4 and will next host Wessington Springs.
The Lady Blackhawks improve to 3-0 and will host Mitchell Christian Thursday at Forestburg.

    High school volleyball action at Forestburg saw Sanborn Central/Woonsocket defeat Ethan 3-1 on Thursday night.
Set scores were 25-20, 24-26, 25-20 and 25-23.
Marissa Weber came out of the shute with 13 kills for the Blackhawks. Morgan Selland notched eight kills while Candace Page-Marten wrote up four aces and had 18 assists. Morgan Larson turned in 16 digs and four aces. Rachel Selland contributed three blocks and Shelly Selland managed five blocks and 16 digs. Rachelle Moore finished the night with a game high 32 digs.
Ethan was led by Darbi Gustafson with 20 kills and one block. Anna Mueller fired up six kills and three blocks and Whitney Endres had eight digs. Tori Pollreisz wrote up six digs, while Holly Lindeman  had 23 assists.
SC/W moves to 2-0 while Ethan drops to 2-3.
Sanborn Central/Woonsocket also won the JV game.
