The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Lady Blackhawks opened their 2012 season playing host to the Hanson Beavers last Tuesday night and served up a 3-0 shut-out. Set scores were 25-20, 25-16 and 25-19.
Marissa Weber led the Hawks with seven kills and four aces. Rachel Selland had five kills and four blocks, while Candace Page-Marten added 12 assists and two aces.
Shelby Selland and Morgan Selland each had three kills. Rachelle Moore made 19 digs and Shelby had 14.
For the Beavers,  Erika Nelson had two kills and four  blocks, while Kynedi Cheeseman added five assists. Keira Goergen got her name in the books with four assists. Abby Kaiser added five aces and 11 digs.
