Ron Ogren, 63, Wessington Springs, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012 in an accident near Wessington Springs.
Memorial services were Monday, Sept. 10 in the Foothills Bible Fellowship Church, Wessington Springs, with Pastor Don Grubb officiating. Visitation and a time of celebrating Ron’s life was held on Saturday, Sept. 8, in Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, Aberdeen.
Ronald Foster Ogren was born March 28, 1949 to Mervin and Gay Ogren of Langford. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Langford High School in 1967. He attended SDSU.
He married Lynn Gattey on May 24, 1975 at Consort, Alberta and to this union two children were born. Ron enjoyed life and could turn any situation into fun! He was known to have a joke for every occasion.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn; son, Stacy (Tiffany) Ogren of Hysham, Mont. and daughter, Shanley (Mike) Dorris of Madison; three grandchildren; three brothers, Carl Ogren, Colfax, Wash., Don (Suzie) Ogren, Langford, and Robert (Robin) Ogren, Eden Prairie, Minn.; and three sisters, Carol Jones, Britton, Ann (Wayne) Erickson, Sisseton, and Faye Bartz, Britton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Frank and Kelva Gattey; and brother-in-law, Leon Jones.
