Blackhawks squash Iroquois

The SC/W Blackhawk girls took a huge lead early on to pound Iroquois into submission in the first match-up of the 281 Tournament, Friday night at Wolsey.
Number one seed SC/W went into the half with a 33-point lead, which would be stretched to 45 points by the end of the third. The score at the final buzzer stood at 64-23.
Shelby Selland put 20 points on the board in the win. Rachelle Moore and Marissa Weber each added nine. The Hawks had 34 rebounds to Iroquois’ 21.
Weber also contributed five assists and five steals. Shelby Selland and Moore each had four rebounds and Morgan Selland added seven points and five boards.
Kelsey Blue and Allison Bich each finished with seven points for the Lady Chiefs. Amber Jacobs had eight rebounds.
The Lady Blackhawks remained undefeated at 7-0 and moved on to meet JVC in the second round of the 281 Tourney Monday night at Huron.
