SC/W boys fall to W-W in Districts

Miller hits 1,000 career points

EARNING HIS 1,000th point of his career is Nick Miller.

The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Blackhawk boys took a hard hit in District 9B action Tuesday, as they fell, 26-64, to Wolsey-Wessington.
Senior Nick Miller put up his 1,000th point in this final game of his career.

DAVION BROOKS powers to the basket and draws the foul.

Davion Brooks led in scoring for the Hawks with 10 points and Miller put up eight.
The Warbirds (20-1) were led by Lorenzo Williams with 18 points, Ryan Sprecher with 12 and Hayden Hofer with 11 points.
SC/W shot 11-of-34 for 32 percent from the floor and just 4-of-15 from the free-throw line. The Blackhawks had 20 rebounds and turned the ball over 15 times.
W-W moved on to meet James Valley Christian in the District championship where they lost, 58-62, at the last second in overtime.
The Blackhawks ended their season 14-7 on the year.
