The Blackhawks girls volleyball team earned the District 6 Championship once again this year with last Thursday and Friday wins over Wessington Springs and James Valley Christian, respectively.
At press time, the 17-10 Blackhawks were getting set to host Arlington at Sanborn Central Tuesday night for the Region 3B Championship to set the winner up with a State “B” Volleyball berth.
Arlington is 23-8 on the season and ended regular season play with 44.59 seed points in their District 5. SCW went into Districts at the top of District 6 with 41.20 seed points.
The State “B” Volleyball Tournament is Nov. 19-21 in Sioux Falls.
The girls are coached by Rick Olsen and assisted by Tracy Moody, Dayna Rodriguez and Sarah Jensen.
