FSA Calendar:
Apr. 21: Sorghum Referendum Deadline.
May 25: Memorial Day holiday – Closed.
May 31: 2014 row crop/feed grain marketing assistance loan application deadline.
June 1: HEL/WL compliance certification deadline for 2016 crop insurance.; ARCPLC annual enrollment begins for both 2014 and 2015.
Burn Bans are in effect for both Sanborn and Jerauld counties. If you were expecting to burn CRP (or anything else) you need to either wait until the burn ban is lifted or change your plan.
Operation Changes:  Please report changes in land ownership, land rental agreements and legal status (estates, partnerships, corporations, trusts and joint ventures) to FSA as soon as you can. If the paperwork isn’t done you don’t get paid or someone might have to pay money back.
Livestock Indemnity Program (LIP) reminder: Livestock that die due to and within 60 days of an eligible weather event must be reported within 30 days of loss. FSA needs to know your livestock inventory, what you lost, where, when and why. All losses should be documented as ineligible losses can be used to meet program deductibles.
