Letcher Auxiliary delivers apples to teachers, sews pillowcases for soldiers

SANDI RUML, president of the Letcher Legion Auxiliary delivered apples to the teachers at Sanborn Central School last Monday in recognition of National Education Week.

Sandi Ruml, president of the Letcher American Legion Auxiliary, delivered apples to the staff of Sanborn Central School on Monday for National Education Week. She also gave Halloween safety coloring books to the pre-school, kindergarten and first graders.
On Monday, Oct. 26, Sandi Ruml, Edith Moe and Pat Nelson met at the home of Kathy Northrup in Mitchell.  They did a sewing day to make Christmas stockings and fill them with candy and personal items to be delivered to the VA in Sioux Falls.
They also made 12 pillowcases to go to the soldiers overseas so they can have the comfort of home and a clean pillowcase. The pillowcases were delivered to the Box Elder American Legion by Delbert and Kathy Northrup
