MADISON STEPHENS has a “hair raising” experience as fellow student Braxton Gentles looks on.

Central Electric Cooperative and East River Electric Cooperative recently presented “The Story Behind the Switch” to the fourth, fifth and sixth graders at Woonsocket Elementary.
The program explained what electricity is, how it is made, how it gets to where it’s going and how it has become part of our lives.  Several students were selected to help demonstrate different activities.
The program was sponsored by the Woonsocket Community Library.
