Sanborn Central’s Junior High Rodeo participants did a great job qualifying for the 12th annual National Junior High Finals Rodeo, which will be held in Lebanon, Tenn., June 19-25.
Those qualifying are: Mason Moody in bareback and bull riding, Tryce Slykhuis in shooting sports, Tater Moody in chute doggin’, tie down roping, and team roping, and Cayden Slykhuis in breakaway roping, ribbon roping, and team roping.
Mason was also named Rookie of the Year, and Tater was named Best Boot Forward and All Around Cowboy.
Also participating was Teya Moody, who had some great runs but didn’t make the national team.
