Mitchell — A total of 366 students at Mitchell Technical Institute have been placed on the Spring Semester 2017 President’s List, according to MTI President Mark Wilson. To be named to the list, students must earn a term GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and complete at least 12 credit hours of academic work during the semester.
Included on the list are: Logan Effling, Thomas Hetland and Sarah Spelbring, all of Artesian; Tracy Finlay and Cortney Walker, both of Letcher; and Austin Ball, Jordan Baysinger, Elliott Ohlrogge and Tate Ziebart, all of Woonsocket.

On Sunday, June 11, there will be a new scoreboard dedication in memory of Jake Jacobson and a benefit in support of Paisley King in her fight against cancer. The event starts at 11:30 a.m. with a free will donation fish fry at the Letcher ball park.
From 12-1 p.m., there will be activities for everyone attending, including a dunk tank with local celebrities and a bounce house. There will be a small fee with proceeds going to the King family.
At 1:15 p.m., the community will dedicate a new scoreboard in memory of “Jake” (Dennis) Jacobson. Jake was an avid player, spectator, and supporter of the Letcher baseball program for many years. Immediately following will be the quilt drawing that the Town and Kountry Kids-Blue Group are selling with proceeds going to Paisley. At 1:30 p.m., there will be a baseball game between Woonsocket/Letcher Minors teams. Deb Jacobson, wife of Jake, will be throwing out the first pitch.  Following will be a softball game between Woonsocket/Letcher.
Come out and enjoy the excitement and fun, sponsored by Town and Kountry Kids – Blue Group.
