Jessica Schmit of Artesian has been selected as the recipient of the 2017 Florence Krieger Scholarship in the amount of $1,000.
This scholarship is awarded in memory of Florence Krieger, a long-time Rapid City mathematics teacher and intended to encourage and help students entering the field of education in the areas of STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
Jessica is a graduate of Sanborn Central High School and a student at Dakota State University in Madison. She is the daughter of Robert and Brenda Schmit of Artesian.
