
MYAH SELLAND looks for an open teammate earlier this season during the 281 Conference Championship game versus Highmore/Harrold. Selland scored her 2,000th career point Thursday night in Corsica, adding her to a very elite list of high school girl basketball players. Always unselfish, Selland also leads the state in assists this season with 76.
There was a pause in the game Thursday night in Corsica in order to give some well-earned recognition to Myah Selland on scoring her 2,000th career point.
Selland made 12 points in the 64-31 win over Corsica-Stickney, but undoubtedly her most memorable were her sixth and seventh, scored on a jumper from the low post.
Selland has played an integral role on the court for the Blackhawks since her seventh grade year. Now a senior, Selland is enjoying her final season of high school basketball before entering the collegiate level next year as a South Dakota State Jackrabbit.
