Through the generosity of the family of the late Kenny Bennett, there has been a statue of a firefighter placed in front of the Woonsocket Fire Hall.
Bennett’s wife and his two daughters donated the memorial money from his funeral to the Woonsocket Fire Department, and as a group, the firefighters decided to purchase the statue.
The statue was made by The Statuary in Sioux Falls and stands 6 feet 2 inches tall on a base that is 2-1/2 feet wide. It was placed in front of the fire hall in memory of Kenny and to honor all fallen firefighters.
